The centenary of the Great Union, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Romanian state, has a brand logo.
“The project we propose under the key word TOGETHER refers to people. For history is made by and through people. The various initiatives to celebrate the Great Union should propose, under this communication umbrella, to pick up stories about the people who have hall-marked history in the past those 100 years. We are the people who made the union possible…all of us. Everyone of us. Together. For the union is not celebrated, but it is demonstrated. We accomplish the union every day. For 100 years."
Great Union Day is celebrated every year on December 1, being Romania’s national day. It celebrates the assembly of the delegates of ethnic Romanians held in Alba Iulia, central Romania, which declared the Union of Transylvania with Romania. This holiday was set after the Romanian Revolution of 1989 and it marks the unification of Transylvania, but also of the provinces of Besarabia and Bucovina with the Romanian Kingdom in 1918.
