- This Framework describes the skills, knowledge and expertise students must master to succeed in work and life; it is a blend of content knowledge, specific skills, expertise and literacies. 21st Century Studend Outcomes and Support Systems: The 4Cs (Critical thinking and problem solving, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity and innovation); The 3Rs.

In January 2009, Cisco, Intel and Microsoft announced they would join forces to sponsor ATC21S as a collaborative research project to accelerate education reform.
